This is epic science fiction at its finest. Realistic far future worlds. Incredible characters and scenarios.
Cameron knows how to tell a story, regardless of whether we are going back in history or forward in time.
Until this book I had forgotten just how much I love good science fiction and Cameron’s is not just good, it’s exceptional.
The concepts are staggering and intensely interesting.
There is NOTHING average about this epic little story despite its name!
I thoroughly enjoyed the totally immersive experience of Cam Cooper’s story telling
There is a lot packed into this short story
Elevates Danny from a nonstop action hero to a real person with whom you can relate
I loved that we get to find out a bit of the back story and adventures of the Supreme Lythion and it’s crew
All Danny wants is an average night…
What starts out as an undisclosed job hunt turns into an interesting dinner date, but even that gets hijacked by a visit from an enemy Danny didn’t know she had.
Worse, the enemy has snatched Dalton and wants Danny in exchange, which leads Danny into an evening of surprises and a new companion…

There is NOTHING average about this epic little story despite its name! It's a very welcome addition to the Imperial Hammer series that adds more personality and depth to Danny's character as well as the origin of Varg, Danny's Parawolf.
I thoroughly enjoyed the totally immersive experience of Cam Cooper's story telling, it's succinct and yet rich in the details that drew me into Danny's spacer world. There is a lot packed into this short story, with interesting character interactions and an intense adventure crisis too.
I would highly recommend this book as part of the Imperial Hammer Series: either after reading book four (upon release) like me, or if you are just starting, then in the correct book series order.
An Average Night on Androkles is fun short story from Cameron Cooper. It not only fills in some background but it elevates Danny from a nonstop action hero to a real person with whom you can relate.
I think that my favorite scene is with the lieutenant and how she handles him.
Definitely a must read!
Here is a little short story set in the Imperial Hammer series, that takes place after book One. Danny and her crew are on Androkles and keeping the usual low profile. Except Danny never can do that and things just happen. I loved that we get to find out a bit of the back story and adventures of the Supreme Lythion and it's crew. I always like it when others discover that Danny is so much more than the Imperial Hammer and quite likable. A nice story to round out some of the questions I had. A very nice space opera series.
