Danger and Intrigue in Early Scotland!!

The year is1906, King Edward is having a weekend house party, and there is a conspiracy to murder him. Lady Adelaide has recently returned to the area after losing her husband and son. She is tasked with determining who the killer may be, but as widower of a commoner she cannot just speak to anyone, she needs introductions.

A delightful game of cat and mouse, an old flame, and rules of society all play a part in creating an entertaining and enthralling story.

Historical Thriller

I thoroughly enjoyed this magnificent first in series book!! I fell in love with the main character, Lady Adelaide, whom, because of her upbringing, does not think much of herself or her abilities.

Then enters a man the scene, who puts her in dire situations and she suddenly finds her inner mettle, coated in steel. I love how she develops from sad widow, into a fire eater who can think on her feet!

The writing style is easy to read and the plot COMPLETELY unpredictable!!  It was a marvelous escape from reality for a short while. I highly recommend this book and can't wait for the next book in the series!

Well done Tracy on another fantastic first in series book!!

Another start of a new series which is set in the Edwardian Era.

Tracy takes you again back in time to an era you could only imagine about but brings it in vivid color through her story. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Awesome new ser II es!

Breathtaking start to a fantastic new series by Tracy Cooper-Posey. With a king, and traitors, pistols and bombs and Lady Adelaide to the rescue. And she is a truly fascinating character worthy of the suspense. Lady Adelaide shows great strength of character, courage and heart. This author just cannot go wrong!

Adele (Adelaide) took me on a thrilling adventure in Edwardian England!

A refined historical version of a swift and exciting spy thriller, I felt like I'd been caught up in the middle of a suspense mystery novel with only the best bits to read. What a thrill!

Lady Adelaide, known as Adele, drew me in with her courage and aplomb. A compelling and remarkable character, especially during the Edwardian era when women were generally uneducated and therefore underestimated. I like that there is an expected ally but on whom Adele does not need to rely.

The writing style is brilliant! Succinct and yet rich in the details that create historical immersion and scenes I found easy to imagine being a part.

This is the first of a new series and I'm looking forward to reading more about her and the underworld of spy's in England whom she has pledged her efforts to uncover.

A Fine New Series Featuring Adelaide Becket

This is a story about Adelaide Becket, who has newly returned to England from Cape Town and winds up at Balmoral Castle in Scotland. The year is 1906 and she is attending a party for King Edward. This is a cat versus mouse story with plenty of intrigue to satisfy, even though it is a very quick read. I consider it just an introduction to Adelaide/Adele, who I very much want to get to know more about. She seems to be very fascinating, smart, and skilled. I cannot wait to see what she gets up to next. Plus I think I want to know a lot more about Daniel Hargrave Bannister.

I bought this book as I missed the review slot, but that didn't stop me throughly enjoying this new writing from Tracy.

I loved Lady Adele from the start of this thriller & how quickly she got on top of the culprit.

Another great read from Tracy, I always did love her thrillers/mysteries, it gets the grey cells working.  Can't wait for Lady Adele's next adventure.

New serieeeees

Not long ago I thought that I wouldn't mind reading straight mysteries from Tracy... and The requisite of courage arrived not long after. This is the first installment in Tracy's new mystery series, the first one to many more to come, and I can't really wait for the next one I'm so excited for the story to unfold. I loooove good quality writing and I love a new series like a junkie. Just give it a try, you won't be disappointed!
