Time is theirs to keep. But it comes with a price.

In the early 23rd Century, vampires learned how to travel back in time, and created a time-tsunami that threatened life as we know it, until they corrected their mistake.  They created the Chronometric Conservation Agency, tasked with preserving history and protecting humanity’s future.  The Touring arm of the Agency offers trips back into the real past, with vampire guides called travelers.

When Natalia (Tally) Marta, vampire and traveler, takes her client to visit the siege of Stirling Castle in 1314, she is caught and held hostage by Robert MacKenzie, a Bruce clansman. Rob is drawn to the wilful, stubborn and very different English lady and their relationship becomes an intimate, highly-charged sexual pairing. Tally and Rob realize their bond is more than sexual, that the emotions stirring their hearts are true.

Christian Lee Hamilton, vampire, one of the last true southern gentlemen, and Tally’s ex-lover, knows the 1314 time marker well enough to jump back and help Tally return home. His arrival at Bannockburn adds complications, for Christian finds himself drawn to Rob MacKenzie as much as Tally is. But neither of them can stay in the past forever. To do so means certain death.

When Brody kisses her, they are both thrust back in time to King Arthur’s court, telling Taylor he is more than a simple rock singer.  When Taylor kisses his friend and lover, Veris, they are sent back into a different time, too.

Brody and Veris desparately want to keep Taylor in their complicated and long-reaching lives.  Terrified, Taylor wants only to return to her own…

To survive they must trust each other. Only…can they?

Winter, a professional thief who can manipulate others’ biologies by touch, accidentally “healed” her former partner—and former vampire—Sebastian, whom she secretly loves. Her healing created a symbiotic pairing between them that neither of them wants.

Nathanial, a sexy thousand-year-old vampire and Sebastian’s ex-lover, talks Sebastian and Winter into stealing evidence that will expose all vampires to the world. But Nathanial is a puppet-master who doesn’t believe in falling in love with humans, leaving Winter unsure of his real feelings for her once he seduces her, or how he feels about Sebastian, the former vampire-now-human whose life he has turned upside down once more.

But the evidence they steal is hot property. The future of all vampires is on the line and others will stop at nothing to get it, leaving Sebastian, Winter and Nathanial with no allies but each other. They must trust each other to survive. Only…can they?

Four Awesome Threesomes

This boxset is fantastic as it gives you a chance to read a book from 4 different great series. If you enjoy books with vampires and time travel, you will enjoy these books

 by Marilyn Putman
Riveting stories with intricate plots

The title of this box set describes the one fact that links these four books. Beyond that, these stories are very different from one another and each one of them is absolutely riveting. Impeccably intricate plotting is a hallmark of this author, and is evident in each offering. Unexpected and sometimes shocking plot twists occur, and I have never yet predicted how the author is going to get her characters out of the tight spot she has written them into. It’s great fun to be surprised by what happens in a book, and Ms. Cooper-Posey delivers. Every. Single. Time.

Each one of the four books in this box set is a blockbuster. I can dump a dull book as fast as the next reader – and possibly faster than most – but each of these books captured my imagination and left me wanting more, more, and (oh, please!) even more. The good news is that there is more to all of them, since each of them is the first book in a series. I have read all four of these series to date (one series is not yet completed), and I can assure you that if you like the four books in this box set, you will enjoy the rest of the books in their series.

I acquired all four novels years ago, and agreed to review them in this combined format. It was fun to revisit these characters; I enjoyed re-reading and re-discovering their stories, and I highly recommend this set. One warning, though: be sure to come prepared. Bring your lacy folding fan, a battery-operated misting fan or, perhaps, an industrial-size oscillating fan, because this box set is definitely HOT.

Four Awesome Threesomes

Four Awesome Threesomes, by Tracy Cooper-Posey, is probably my favorite collection thus far she's put together. Each of the series are worth reading, and will draw you into each universe completely. Despite the fact that vampires feature prominently, the reader will not be confused or get lost. The parameters of each series are unique, and delightful.

Bannockburn Binding was the first book of this genre I ever read, and I was immediately sucked into the world of Cooper-Posey, and haven't looked back since. I loved this story, and the beautiful twist/resolution at the end. The Beloved Bloody Time series may be short, but it is truly pithy and great to read.

Kiss Across Time, a lengthy series, explores actual time travel by the characters and the ensuing difficulties and conundrums. I loved the historical settings, and the reader will think they're breathing the literal air of those eras. So happy there are more stories to come.

Blood Knot is the first of my favorite series, the Blood Stone Series. I read each separately, then had to get the boxed set to have it all in one place. This series has the most wonderful setting, and the danger becomes more real with each story. Love this series!

Beth's Acceptance, the Destiny's Trinities series, had amazing pairing/threesomes, that were each new and more disparate then the previous. Fast paced and fun to read.

I appreciate, so much, that the series are all basically complete, and the reader can sit down and enjoy them in sequence, without having to wait for the next one to come out.

I've never met a Cooper-Posey book I didn't like, but the Blood Stone Series remains top of the list for me. It was fun to revisit these series, and I hope there are more in the wings for us.

A Favorite Author – Fabulous Firsts in Four Series!!

I’ll let you know that I have read all of these stories previously. Frequently for boxsets I will take prior reviews and put them together to create a review for the boxset. In this case I read every word within this boxset. First, I got to revisit some of my very favorite stories. Second, the author has given background and history around each story which I found absolutely fascinating. Jump on in – you will be glad you did!

Another favorite: Each story comes with a warning – these are high heat – and a footnote “No vampires were harmed in the making of this novel”.

***** Bannockburn Binding: Book 1 of the Beloved Bloody Time Series *****
An incredible story which includes both futuristic aspects in the 23rd Century, and historical properties in 1314 Scotland. Each viewpoint is equally engaging and believable. Vampires have learned to travel back in time, and it is a vacation opportunity for some. Vampires revert to “human” when back in time, and must be fully rested and strong or experience severe results.

Vampire Natalia runs into snag in her return. She is held for ransom, and falls in love. We get to see both “sides” of her dilemma as she does not return on schedule. Many threads here; those back in history, those in the 23rd Century, the relationship and the complexity of the rules of time. Mind-bending and romantic.

***************************************************************
***** Kiss Across Time: Book 1 of the Kiss Across Time Series *****
Another absolute favorite as there are many fabulous books to be found in this series. The initial story sets the tone for what follows. Taylor is a professor looking for an obscure reference for her dissertation. A loud neighbor’s music may hold a clue; words in a song from Nocturnal Rain. A trip to their concert to get answers provides more questions, and a flash back to historical times when a kiss occurs.

Wonderful, unique and totally engrossing.

***************************************************************
***** Blood Knot: Book 1 of the Blood Stone Series *****
Winter is a professional thief who can manipulate others’ biologies by touch. She partnered with Sebastian for years, and after an injury, not knowing he was a vampire she “healed” his vampirism and created a symbiotic pairing between them.

Nial, a former lover of Sabastian’s, has come to recruit the team to steal crucial information. A faction wants to reveal vampires to the world; in the most negative light possible. Tense, emotional and another fabulous start to a series.

***************************************************************
***** Beth’s Acceptance: Book 1 of the Destiny’s Trinities Series *****
Beth is a non-traditional student (age 32) at NYC and works part-time in the library, and McGinty’s. A customer Zack attracted her attention, but he would never act on that attraction. Now a mysterious Luke seems to be in the stacks each night she works at the library. As some strange creatures try to attack her, some astounding truths come out; Zack is a vampire, and Luke is an Elf. Natural enemies, both were “called” to Beth when she was in danger.

A bond written about in folklore, between these three, will decide the fate of many. Delightful play on words, stellar world-building and a unique relationship combine to create a highly entertaining and exciting story.

***** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book *****

Binge reading galore

I've got a thing for first in the series books, it's like meeting new people or places for the first time, I'm addicted to the first rush of the unknown. You'll have them all in the same pack and can enjoy the very interstitial essays too. At the same time, I love that all of these series (except one but it's pretty along in the way too) are already finished, you'll have material to binge to your heart content for the next couple of months.

I'd already read these titles separately but it's always fun to came back to them, I always discover new details, and my perspective also changes with time and experience. Tracy has a way to write threesomes that makes them believable, even while talking about time travelling or vampires. You know, even I, a historian trained to believe but proved facts, dive into the plot head first, it's fiction but soooooo very well researched and written. She's a master in not only weaving great plots but to play the characters emotions really deep, making them very well rounded and interesting. I'm sometimes so catch up on them that I lost track of time I swear.

This is my opinion on the reading this time around:

The first series, Beloved Bloody Time series is one of my favourites and it's not too long either. The first book, Bannockburn Binding was my first travel book and it just makes sense in a way, it's so realistic. It rises some interesting questions that evolve along the series. I have to say I didn't quite get over the end the series after all this time.

The second one, the Kiss Across Time series, is the only one unfinished, but it's on its 8 or 9th installment I think, so you'll have plenty of material. This first book, Kiss Across Time is kind of the presentation of the main characters, I really like that we get to know a lot more about them in the next book of the series because this trio is really charismatic. They get to mature and evolve along the plot. And trust me the plot thickens from here. A lot.

Now with the third series. The first book in the Blood Stone saga, Blood Knot, is hotter than hot. Tracy's told us so, but damn. The steam could keep you warm thorough winter, no pun intended 😜😜. The same as the others, it never fails to rise some deep questions about war, slavery, minorities, and so on.

The last one, Beth's Acceptance, from the Destiny’s Trinities series. This one has everything: humans not so humans, vampires, fairies. The full pack. It’s been a long time and I didn’t remember much about this one. It's also the only one I didn't read further in the series, maybe it's time I get to it.

Brody held up his hand. “Before you go,” he said. “Would you do me one small favor?”

She stepped away from him. “It depends.”

“I want you to kiss my friend. I want to see if it…this…whatever it is when we kissed the first time…I want to see if it works on him.”

Taylor laughed. “Why on earth would it?” Then something in Brody’s expression registered on her. “Oh…he’s your lover, isn’t he?”

Brody lifted a brow.

“A very long-term lover,” Taylor concluded with growing wonder. She tilted her head to study him. “What is his name?”

“Most people call me Veris, because they can’t pronounce my real name.”

She whirled around to face the voice.

He was sitting on the arm of the chair where the suit jacket had been a few moments before. Blond hair, blue eyes, six foot two inches of self-assured, very broad-shouldered male.

“You!” Shock made her struggle to recall his name. “Dr. Gerhardsson. You consulted with me last week, about the Domhnall plays.”

“Jesus, you son of a bitch,” Brody said behind her. “You went and did it after all.”

Veris smiled. “I did.”

Brody brushed past Taylor and threw himself into the lounge chair. He looked at Taylor. “You’re a history professor?”

“I nearly was,” she said flatly.

“You don’t look like one,” Brody commented.

“Neither does he,” she said, pointing at Veris. He looked nothing like he had when he had first appeared in her university office. Right now he was wearing leather pants and a sleeveless white cotton overshirt that made the most of the tanned, rounded caps of his shoulders and the bunches of muscles of his arms. Veris crossed his arms over his chest, which just seemed to multiply the amount of tanned muscle on display. His blue eyes twinkled.

Brody seemed more than mildly pissed about Veris’ consultation, which had been utterly professional in nature. Veris had not indicated by so much as an inch that he even recognized that Taylor was a woman.

Even so, Taylor had been left feeling edgy and weak-kneed after the evening consultation and had fallen into bed and indulged in fantasies that featured Gerhardsson and his blue eyes and broad shoulders and various parts of his magnificent anatomy.

Brody glared at Veris now. “I can see now why you came home in such a muck-sweat that night…the seventeenth, right?”

Taylor jumped. That was the night.

Veris just shrugged a little. No pride lost there. “I have no objections to kissing the lady now, if that’s what you want.” He smiled a little but his eyes were dancing with merriment.

Brody glared for a moment longer, then gave up. Taylor knew he had tabled the argument for later.
