Adele learns just how ruthless German agents can be.

In Edwardian England, Lady Adelaide Azalea Margaret de Morville, Mrs. Hugh Becket, continues her work for William Melville, spymaster, even though it has left her with no time to live the life she would prefer, which includes spending at least a little time with Daniel Bannister.

When she refuses to travel to Germany to watch over King Edward while he visits the German Emperor to discuss disarmament of their increasingly more competitive navies, Melville gives Adele an alternative, superficial task of watching over a young, sweet debutante, Lady Winnifred.

Adele perseveres with the useless, quite horrid task of trailing an innocent girl through the Season. It puts her in the path of German agents, who demonstrate just how dark and dangerous her new work really is…

This novelette is the second in the Adelaide Becket Edwardian espionage series.
1: The Requisite Courage
2: The Rosewater Debutante
3: The Unaccompanied Widow
…and more to come.

A historical suspense espionage novelette.

The Rosewater Debutante

This is the second book in this series. Adelaide Becket’s second adventure is as involving and intriguing as her first and I can't wait to see what Tracy has in store for her readers in book 3. As usual Tracy Cooper-Posey brings the story to life in the only way she can.

Exciting, Intriguing Story

This story follows Lady Adelaide as she has to navigate the politics of her position and the intricacies of following a young lady through a Season all while dealing with German spies.

It was a wonderful story that kept me intrigued. It was the details that pulled me into the story as I have come to expect from this author!

I would recommend this book! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book.

Innocenct Deception

I enjoyed this quick read SO much!! It starts off relatively slow, but then the suspense and action kicks into gear. I enjoy Lady Adele, because she is no limp jellyfish, but a woman with backbone and character. You never can anticipate what she is going to surprise you with next! Absolutely delightful!!

Beautifully written and the plot is completely unpredictable. I do enjoy the wicked humour spicing it up. Well done on a gem of a book Tracy! I can't wait for the next one in the series. I do recommend reading the series in order, as things will be crystal clear and make sense.

A fascinating character and exciting story!

What an addictive character to follow! I have been captivated by Adele's ongoing adventures in her-story!

I thoroughly enjoyed following Adele's unpredictable and suspenseful adjustment to life as a secret agent. Lady Adele is cheeky, daring, courageous and a character worthy of following in this delightful series.
The male characters were beautifully used as foils to further highlight to me Adele's strength of character and her heretofore undiscovered skills and talents.

Wow! In this novella Tracy Cooper-Posey shows her flair and talent for writing a detailed historically-set story whilst using a skilled and succinct style that means every word counts!

I loved the brief recap of the story so far, included at the beginning, but I highly recommend reading the previous book, Requisite Courage, as a delightful introduction to the series.

Adelaide Becket Strikes Again

This is another novella featuring German spies in Britain before WWI. A great series and this book was another interesting story featuring Adelaide Becket. I look forward to reading Adelaide’s other adventures.

Fabulous Early 1900’s Intrigue!!

It’s one thing to read a current military/security story – with all the technology we have today. It’s a grand adventure to go back in time and find a spy, stop an assassination or solve a mystery with just your wits and wisdom.

Love these stories that truly take you back in time, where you feel you are there experiencing what the characters do. An immersion which will leave you breathless!

Adelaide Becket

The Rosebud Debutante is the second book in the new Adelaide Becket stories. The first one left me super eager to continue reading,  and it didn't disappoint! I'm in a place in my life where I better appreciate short stories, and this is the perfect blending between suspense and romance, I'm very intrigued for the third one, Tracy never ceases to surprise me with her endings ;).
