Those platforms have helped us reach readers all over the world, and many of you first found us there. But the publishing landscape keeps changing.
Algorithms change. Visibility changes. Competition grows louder. It becomes harder and harder for readers to simply stumble across the kinds of books they love. Great stories can get buried under noise, trends, and an endless flood of new releases.
So we’ve been asking ourselves an important question: What if we spent less time chasing attention elsewhere and more time building something of our own?
That’s why we’re refocusing on our own store at Stories Rule Press. Our goal is simple: create the best possible place to discover, buy, and enjoy our books directly from us.
When you shop in our store, it gives us room to do things we can’t always do elsewhere. We can offer bundles. We can create special editions. We can experiment with early releases. We can spotlight hidden gems in our catalogue. We can build better reading pathways so if you loved one book, we can help you find your next favorite.
Most of all, it lets us build a more direct relationship with the people who matter most: readers. You.
No middleman can care about our stories the way we do. No algorithm can replace a genuine recommendation. No giant platform will ever be as invested in your reading experience as the people who publish the books in the first place.
This doesn’t mean we’re disappearing from the major retailers. Our books will still be available where many of you prefer to shop. But going forward, we want our own store to become the heart of what we do.
A home base. A place where readers know they’ll always find our newest releases, our best offers, our special projects, and the stories we’re most excited to share.
