The first quarter of the year is in the books—which feels both surprising and exactly right.
Publishing has a way of making time do strange things.
So here’s where things stand at Stories Rule Press right now, and what we’re all working on as we head into the next stretch.
Mark
I’m currently writing Fall From Grace, which continues the Thomas Billings arc. This one’s been a lot of fun to dig into—high stakes, political pressure, and the kind of moral choices that don’t come with clean answers.
At the same time, I’m editing Tracy’s Even More Time Kissed Moments, which means I’m bouncing between thriller pacing and romantic reflection on a daily basis. Keeps things interesting.
Tracy
Tracy is gearing up for the release of Even More Time Kissed Moments, which is the next installment in her ongoing exploration of time, love, and all the complications that come with both.
On the non-fiction side, The Indie Author Survival Guide—part of The Productive Indie Fiction Writer series—is about to be featured in the StoryBundle Write Stuff bundle, which we’re very excited about.
Taylen
With Veilbound now out in the world, Taylen has turned her attention to something new: Book 1 in the Veilwarden Chronicles.
Early days, but if her previous work is anything to go by, this will be one to watch.
Cameron
Cameron is preparing for the release of The Woman Who Remembered Yesterday, which is a fantastic title and an even better story.
If you like your science fiction with a strong conceptual hook and a human core, this one’s going to land well.
Final Thought
Different genres. Different voices. Same guiding principle:
Story comes first.
Always.
That’s what we build everything around here. And as we move into the next quarter, that’s not changing anytime soon.

Mark Posey
SRP Author and thriller writer.
Mark writes thrillers for readers who don’t mind a little dirt under the nails — stories with emotional weight, lean prose, and characters who rarely do the right thing for the right reason. His work lives somewhere between noir, revenge fantasy, and literary grit, though he avoids calling it any of those because that sounds like marketing.
When he’s not writing fiction, Mark also works as a professional editor and story consultant. His editing blog offers straight talk for indie and traditionally published authors alike — especially the ones who are tired of being told to “find their voice” by people who can’t define what voice is.
He believes in clarity over cleverness, clean narrative over trend-chasing, and that semicolons are fine, but you probably don’t need as many as you think.
He lives in Canada, which explains the politeness, but not the sarcasm.
You can find him online at MarkPoseyAuthor.com, where he blogs about writing, editing, story structure, and whatever else is on fire this week. His books are published through Stories Rule Press, an independent publisher of genre fiction with strong characters and sharp writing.
