I am a big fan of Tracy Cooper-Posey and read quite a few of her books, but haven´t tried any of the category "thriller", because I after the birth of my son I became quite "touchy". But I thought to give it a try with this book- and it was great! It had the right amount of suspense and love, the plot was great and the main characters are very likeable.
Thrillers aren't usually my first choice, but this was on my radar for a while, and boy, it didn't disappoint. It's quite fast-paced and mostly surprising! When you think it's going one way boom! goes the other and so on. Its fascinating how I can still get engaged and surprised by a book, 100% recommend.
Action, suspense, and emotion combine to create a fast paced book that is fun to read.
In Dead Again, you’ll find to romance, action, intrigue- all rolled up into a beautifully packaged story! On the run for years, burying his previous identity, Jack can run from everything except Sophie.
Ten years after they first met, Sophie has rebuilt her life, believing Jack to be dead. Imagine her shock when he reappears in her life - Jack, too, feels the shock of recognition when he accidentally stumbles into
Sophie’s little town. The two rediscover their friendship, which turns into something so much more, as Jack’s past threatens to catch up with him - which of course it does. Can Jack face his demons and conquer them? Will he disappear quietly into the night? What Sophie accept Jack’s decision or fight for him?
Cooper-Posey spins a very engaging tale that you won’t want to put down for a second - I highly recommend this book. It’s a fun read, curled up under a warm blanket with your favorite beverage.
I absolutely loved this story. The terrific characters and wonderfully intricate plot grab your attention and won't let go of you until the final word. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a well-crafted story.
You know the action will be high when you start with a plane crash. In a remote area, with only two survivors. Sophie is down on a ledge with compound fractures in her leg. Jack lowers everything necessary for comfort and survival to the ledge.
Those five days spent together were life-changing. Married, then divorced from a man who reminded her of Jack, Sophie now is raising her two children in a small mountain town. When a drifter reminds her of Jack, she questions herself.
I found myself completely immersed in this story. The danger, intrigue, and depth of feelings will stay with you long after the last page has been turned.
This book grabbed my attention from the first sentence and never let go. Sophie and Jack are the lone survivors of a plane crash and save each other’s lives during their five days in the wilderness before being rescued. Jack later dies from his injury while on the operating table but his short time in Sophie’s life has changed her forever. Trading the hustle and bustle of L.A. to live in a small town near mountains reminiscent of the ones she stared at for five days with Jack she tries to move on with her life, but there’s always been something missing...until a drifter shows up in her town. A drifter that looks an awful lot like a dead man she can never forget. As “Martin’s” story unfolds the vague threat and danger of ‘them’ becomes more real. Who do you trust? Who can be believed? Who would crash a whole plane to silence one man? And why?
This would make a good Mark Wahlberg movie.
Jack and Sophie meet when their plane goes down in the mountains. What follows is a gripping, thrilling, at times sad, murderous romp all tied up neatly at the end with no cliff hanger. My favorite character was Sophie, she is a strong, determined woman that lost her way and found it again. Oh how much I wanted her to find herself again! This is a fast paced story full of interesting characters, which Tracy Cooper-Posey is so good at writing for us readers.
Tracy Cooper-Posey does suspense exceptionally well. I was less than a third of the way into the book and wanted to cry for Sophie and Jack. It's an exciting read with twists and turns that keep the reader guessing, "what next?"
Fascinating story full of suspense, anticipation and my favourite...romance. I couldn't help myself, became completely enthralled, and read it in one sitting!
A traumatic event brought the characters together and then they spent years apart but I still enjoyed a pulse pause moment when their chemistry ignited.
The strong and independent female lead was a great match for the alpha hero.
Both characters had their moments to shine and I enjoyed watching their relationship bloom with love and respect.
The backbone of intrigue in the book held me captivated and I was delighted by several unpredictable plot twists.
I thoroughly enjoyed this suspense romance and would highly recommend it, even if, like me, you don't usually read suspense.
