These three passionate and charismatic characters remained memorable long after I had finished each book! The writing is succinct and enthralling with red hot passion flaring up between the three main characters: two men: Brody & Veris, and a woman: Taylor.
I was fascinated by the ingenious concepts of this story and the imaginative world of vampires existing amongst humans with the complications of unplanned time travel thrown in too. You don't need to love vampires to enjoy this series because I found this to be a refreshing and emotional tale of self awareness rather than the usual vampiric tale. Although the mens' vampire natures and the way they behave had a strong influence on the storyline, it was more focused on their longevity and interactions with others, rather than the way they feed or differ from humans. My escape to other times within the two vampires' 1600year life history was an immersive experience. It's a fantastic story with sophisticated timelines and time-travel concepts that wrap around and twist back on themselves to keep me guessing as to what's happening next.
I was drawn into the emotional journey of the two males and a female that make up the dynamic trio of lovers. These captivating, strong and interesting characters made following their journey compulsive reading. I experienced edge-of-my-seat anticipation for each character as they faced challenges, both physical and emotional, without overdone drama or angst. All three of the trio are challenged as they navigate the effects of their actions on the complex time-space continuum whilst also juggling the challenges of a three way love affair. I love the interactions of the constant tug of war and love (& passion) that exists between the members of the trio.
Each book of these first four books in the series is about the same three main characters but tells a self-contained story that is exciting and satisfying whilst also introducing other interesting characters which I wanted to see more of. Details from some of the previous book storylines are often revealed by degrees in various following books...time travel means that timelines within the book series are not necessarily consecutive.
I highly recommend the books of the series are read in order including the moments novels between the main books.
