This book pulled me in and wouldn't let go. I was thrust through time with Brody, Veris and Taylor in a few jumps. The story was amazing woven to keep me wondering what would happen next. The steam was off the charts! I loved going on this journey with them and the twists and turns that kept me wondering what would happen next. I would definitely recommend this book! I can't wait to read the next.
Human Taylor and vampires Brody and Veris find that they pop into time periods from their past. They check each other with the Vulcan hand greeting and the mention of a “red shirt”. Sometimes a kiss will bring the “past” version up-to-speed with the “current version”. When a journey to the siege of Jerusalem results in Veris not knowing them, they have a huge challenge to woo him and remedy whatever has gone wrong. They will only have a few days till they return to their time, and if Veris does not have a relationship with them, there is no telling what future they are returning to.
A brilliant exposition into the intricacies of time travel, vampire ways, and an ancient time where danger is imminent. You will be completely transported with our characters into a past of war, deserts, struggle and romance. Intricate details construct this epic tale which I highly recommend!!
I could not put the book down. Twists and unexpected turns. I stayed up all night it was so good.
My escape to other times within the two vampires' 1500year life history was an immersive experience. It's a fantastic story with sophisticated timelines and time-travel concepts that wrap around and twist back on themselves to keep me guessing as to what's happening next.
I was drawn into the emotional journey of the two males and a female that make up the dynamic trio of lovers. These captivating, strong and interesting characters made following their journey compulsive reading. I experienced edge-of-my-seat anticipation for each character as they faced challenges, both physical and emotional, without overdone drama or angst. These characters are challenged as they navigate the effects of their actions on the complex time-space continuum whilst also juggling the challenges of a three way love affair. I love the interactions of the constant tug of war and love (& passion) that exists between the members of the trio.
Although this second book in the series is about the same three main characters as book one, each book has told a self-contained story that is exciting and satisfying. I highly recommend the books of the series are read in order.
